The Children's Institute of Verona - Twice a week special needs students are bussed to SMAPA for dance and Theater Workshop classes.
The Samuel L. Berliner School in Newark - Two days per week SMAPA provides dance and drama in Newark on school time. This program was made possible in part by grants from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, The Victoria Foundation and the Turrell Fund. The pilot program in 2004–5 was made possible by funds from SMAPA and the JP Morgan Chase Foundation.
The Quitman Street Community School - First & second graders receive 45 minute dance classes weekly in Creative Movement and Rhythm Tap respectively with the objective being to improve math skills through dance. This year long program is made possible through the generous support of the Victoria Foundation and the Turrell Fund.
The Renaissance School - 6th, 7th and 8th graders receive dance and drama classes during school time. Classes include Afro-Haitian, West African, tap, jazz, and sequential drama classes from 6th through 8th grade. This program is supported by the Montclair Board of Education.
The Chancellor Avenue School in Irvington - SMAPA provides 4th and 5th graders with one class per week during the school day for the entire year. This program is supported by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
Day Nurseries - Creative Movement classes are provided once a week for the entire year for preschoolers ages three and four years old. These children would normally not be able to have this type of enrichment because their parents work and the children remain at Day Nurseries until 6:00 P.M. SMAPA goes to their facility to provide a dance program.
Glen Ridge Discovery Series- This after school program provides arts enrichment among other things to the students in some of Glen Ridge, New Jersey schools. SMAPA is currently providing four programs consisting of Musical Theater Workshop, Creative Movement, Hip-Hop and Percussion Ensemble in the Linden Avenue School and the Ridgewood Avenue School.
Montclair After School Programs - SMAPA has provided after school dance programs in Northeast School, Bradford School, Edgement School and Rand School.
Seniors Exercise Program - Twice weekly SMAPA provides a year-round fitness program specifically designed for seniors. This program is conducted in the SMAPA studios in association with the Montclair Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
The Performance Workshop Ensemble - The Performance Workshop Ensemble (PWE) is made up of 10–15 gifted and talented young dancers between the ages of 12 and 20 from Sharron Miller's Academy for the Performing Arts (SMAPA). In return for full tuition scholarships, PWE members give to the community through arts in education concerts.
Prime Time Summer Arts - A full day summer program for children ages 6–14 with daily classes in art, music, dance and drama. Each of the two 3-week sessions culminates in a fully staged, free public performance for family and friends. Prime Time Summer Arts is a joint collaboration in association with the Montclair Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs.
Preschool Prime Time Summer Arts - A half-day weekly theme-based program for children ages 3–5. Classes include dance daily with two art classes, two drama classes and one music class weekly.
The Dance Store - SMAPA operates a not for profit retail store for dancewear. Capezio, Danskin, Bunheads, Star Styled and Bal-togs are the major suppliers. Proceeds go toward supporting the SMAPA Scholarship Fund.
