Full and Half-Day Programs in Dance and Theater Arts for Ages 3–14
Preschool Summer Arts
- Ages 3-5
- 9-12 noon
- Week 1: June 30–July 3, 2025 (This session will be prorated for the July 4 holiday.)
- Week 2: July 7–11, 2025
- Week 3: July 14–18, 2025
- Week 4: July 21–25, 2025
- Week 5: July 28–August 1, 2025
- Week 6: August 4–8, 2025
Tuition
Refund/Credit Policy
If you withdraw before the session starts, we can:
- Refund $200, OR
- Credit your SMAPA account $260 (valid for one year; applicable toward any other camp or class).
Requirements & Activities
- Children must be fully toilet trained—no diapers or pull-ups.
- Each week’s activities revolve around a unique theme, offering classes in dance, music, art, and imaginative pretend play.
- Students should wear comfortable clothing (t-shirt, leggings, shorts, leotard) and bare feet.
- Bring a healthy, nut-free snack from home (labeled with your child’s name).

- Credit your SMAPA account $1,170 (valid for one year; applicable toward any other camp or class)
Program Structure
- Classes in Hip Hop, West African Dance, Drama, and Choreography taught by professional teaching artists.
- Students collaborate to create a culminating show, performed live for family and friends on the final day.
- “Chat and Chew” break times provide space for socializing and enjoying a nut-free lunch/snack brought from home.
What to Wear & Bring
- Comfortable clothing (shorts, t-shirt; no jeans)
- Sneakers for Hip Hop; all other classes are barefoot.
- Nut-free lunch and snack labeled with the student’s name (refrigeration available).

AGE REQUIREMENTS: Students must be at least 6 years old or entering 1st Grade in September.
What do students wear?
Comfortable shorts and a t-shirt are suggested. No jeans.
What shoes are needed?
Students should have sneakers for Hip Hop classes. All other dance classes will be barefoot.
What clothes are needed for the final performance?
Generally the students wear black or navy blue bike shorts, regular shorts, skorts or Capri pants with a bright solid color T-shirt (no decorations). Additional costume pieces may be needed based on each individual group dance project.
Are all camp sessions the same?
No. During each session the group creates a unique show with different songs, dramatic pieces, and group projects.
Do children need previous dance training in order to participate?
No. All dance classes are basic level and designed to build skills and stimulate creativity.
Are lunches or snacks provided?
Students must bring a nut-free lunch from home in a bag labeled with their name. Refrigeration is available. A second nut-free snack should be provided from home and packed separately from the lunch bag. All snacks and lunches MUST BE NUT-FREE!
How is the day structured?
Students will be divided into groups by age. Each age group participates in 4 classes per day, separated by lunch or a snack.

Dance Intensive FAQs
Each dancer should bring proper dance attire for Ballet and Modern class, a reusable water bottle, and hair tie if needed to pull hair back.

Dance Intensive
Intermediate/Advanced Ballet & Modern
- Ages 13+
- For intermediate/advanced dancers with at least 4 years of Ballet experience.
- One-week session with 3 classes per day in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Core Strength, and Contemporary Choreography
Tuition
Program Goals
- Hone technique in a non-competitive, daily intensive format.
- Focus on technical growth and choreographic exploration.
